THIS IS ME!

“YOU’RE JUST LAZY!”

How many times have you been told that you are just not trying hard enough when, if fact, you were doing the best you could? You knew you were not stupid, but the answers just don’t come to you. You ran late for that appointment, or you didn’t have the right report for that meeting, again. You started the project with enthusiasm but lost interest halfway through. You didn’t fit in with the conversation and often felt misunderstood like you are from a different planet….IS THIS YOU?

ARE YOU LIVING WITH ADHD OR ASD WITHOUT KNOWING IT?

There are a number of children, teens and adults who live their lives seemingly in chaos. It’s not that are not intelligent, resourceful or capable people, but that they may be living with undiagnosed ADHD and/or ASD.

AM I BROKEN?

No-one wants to think that their child, partner, or themselves have a disorder but people with ADHD/ASD can function quite well in life, the rules are just a lot more difficult to navigate.

WHAT HAVE I BEEN MISSING?

There is a manual, written by the American Psychologist Society is called the DSM – Diagnostic and Statistical Manual. This book sets out the criteria for all mental illness. ADHD and ASD are part of the manual. Having an idea of what you are dealing with is often a relief, you have probably already visited a number of Doctors, Allied Health professionals or used complementary therapies to try to find out why you are like you are. You may have been given medication or gone to “see someone” but the answer still eludes you.
